Together with our project partners, we are making Europe’s roads safer. The smooth interaction of communication between vehicles, intelligent traffic infrastructure, road operators and authorities across European national borders has the key function in the C-Roads project. In the European joint project C-Roads, cooperative services are implemented in a real traffic environment and their framework concepts and experiences are contributed to the superordinate C-Roads platform. Through the C-Roads platform, public authorities and road operators join forces to harmonize the deployment, testing and harmonization of cooperative Intelligent Transport Systems and Services (C-ITS) on European roads.

The #SafeRoadsTODAY event marks the gathering of forefront experts and strategic key stakeholders from the field of C-ITS. The aim of the conference is to display the status of C-ITS rollout and the beneficial impacts on road safety all over Europe. The progress and harmonisation of C-ITS technologies has lifted the discussion from mere technical issues up to the service level. This means that C-ITS services are already real, reliable and available today as both trigger and driving force of a new era of road safety in Europe.
The #SafeRoadsTODAY event is taking place in cooperation with URBIS Smart City Fair, where leaders in the field of Smart City will be introduced. Dozens of representatives of Central European cities and municipalities and leaders in innovations will meet to share experience, ideas and examples of specific solutions on how to correctly develop a Smart City concept.
