OECON at the Final Event of Gaia-X 4 Advanced Mobility Services Project
On May 14, 2025, the final event of the Gaia-X 4 Advanced Mobility Services (Gaia-X 4 AMS) project group took place at DLR in Braunwschweig.
What innovative data applications could be developed to improve the transportation of the future? What role does Gaia-X play in this? And how can this vision be implemented in practice? These questions were investigated in the Gaia-X 4 AMS project.
Our road traffic is a complex system in which data is continuously generated. Gaia-X gathers this data in so-called data rooms, which service providers can access uniformly in order to offer their results to automated vehicles. If we use this data efficiently, we can optimize traffic for everyone involved. One example of this is self-driving cars, which rely on precise information about their surroundings in order to operate safely and reliably.
OECON was responsible for providing a routing service for automated vehicles that calculates the route based on predefined constraints (ODD, Operational Design Domain) and makes it available via the GAIA-X framework.
Exhibition & presentation of the project results:
Participants of the event were invited to inform themselves about the following topics at the exhibition on project results from Gaia-X 4 AMS and live demonstrations in the outdoor area:
- Digital identities
- Forensics
- Object recognition
- Technical supervision and data control center
- Drone service
- Rescue lane demonstration
- Demonstration of ODD-compliant routing (OECON)
