With its cross-modal portfolio, Europe’s leading competence center for mobility issues is developing here – in mobility/automotive, aviation, rail, certification and electromobility. The special feature is the internationally unique infrastructure with research aircraft, wind tunnels, simulators and test benches, which is concentrated in one place alongside the airport infrastructure. A certification authority, such as the LBA (Federal Aviation Office) and the BFU (Federal Bureau of Aircraft Accident Investigation), complement the network.
