The NG (Next Generation) eCall Plugtests 2025 will take place from June 10 to 13, 2025 in Bonn, Germany. The event is organized by ETSI, with the support of ETSI TC MSG (Mobile Standards Group), TC EMTEL (Emergency Telecommunications) and EENA (The European Emergency Number Association). The host is Deutsche Telekom.
These plug tests offer providers the opportunity to perform interoperability tests between In-Vehicle Systems (IVS) and Public Safety Answering Points (PSAP) providing the NG eCall service over packet-switched wireless communication networks with IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and 4G access. The tests are based on the ETSI TS 103 683 specification (Next Generation eCall High Level Application Protocol (HLAP) Interoperability Testing). The test cases are carried out in a real, commercial and public network environment.
