As a unique research infrastructure for the development and testing of automated and networked vehicles, the Niedersachsen Test Field is now ready for practical application. That’s what the project partners want to celebrate!
As project coordinator the DLR invited therefore to a ceremonial opening event which will be on January 8, 2020.
The event will be opened by:
- Thomas Jarzombek MdB, Federal Government Coordinator for German Aerospace,
- Dr. Bernd Althusmann, Lower Saxony Minister of Economy, Labor, Transport and Digitalisation, and
- Björn Thümler, Lower Saxony Minister of Science and Culture.
Together with the core partners and other experts from business and science, they will explain the possible uses of the test field to you.
Participants then have the opportunity to experience the potential of the research and development platform while driving in the research vehicle. The event will be accompanied by an exhibition, where participants will also be able to find out which services the test field will offer and which research activities the cooperation partners are already planning.
