OECON at the ETSI NG eCall Plugtests 2026
This year’s ETSI NG eCall Plugtests will take place from June 1 to 5, 2026, at Telekom Slovenije in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The event is organized by the ETSI Centre for Testing and Interoperability in collaboration with the European Emergency Number Association (EENA) and the Sintesio Foundation. Additionally, the event is supported by the Mobile Standards Group (MSG), a technical committee of ETSI.
The event, which is co-funded by the European Union (EU) and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA), will enable the verification of the interoperability of the various components that make up the European architecture for next-generation emergency communications.
Recent amendments to Delegated Regulations (EU) No. 305/2013 and (EU) 2015/758 mandate the use of NG-eCall devices starting January 1, 2026.
The tests focus on the interoperability of Next Generation eCall via 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) between in-vehicle systems (IVS) and Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) that support Next Generation eCall.
OECON is providing version 4 of the OECON eCall Test and Development Server for conducting the tests.
We look forward to seeing you there and to an exciting exchange with you.
