Auf dem Weg zur kommenden Version 3 unseres eCall Development Server haben wir die erste Hürde genommen, die Portierung auf eine neue Entwicklungsumgebung. Bislang entwickelten wir den DevServer mit dem Grails-Framework und der Programmiersprache Groovy. Da unsere neueren Projekte mit Spring Boot und Kotlin entstehen, haben wir uns entschlossen, auch den DevServer auf dieses Fundament zu stellen. Die Portierung lief überraschend gut, auch wenn hier und da ein kleines Refactoring nötig war. Jetzt ist der Weg frei, sich der eigentlichen Arbeit zu widmen: dem Support für eCall NG* in unseren eCall-Produkten.
*NG = Next Generation[:en]On the way to the upcoming version 3 of our eCall Development Server we have taken the first hurdle, the porting to a new development environment. So far we developed the DevServer with the Grails framework and the Groovy programming language. Since our recent projects are with Spring Boot and Kotlin, we have decided to put the DevServer on this foundation as well. The porting was surprisingly good, although a little refactoring was necessary here and there. Now the way is clear to devote to the actual work: the support for eCall NG * in our eCall products.
